25th March 2011 (Friday) at 1pm-3pm: Carleton University, Mackenzie Building, Room 4124, Ottawa, ON,

Technical presentation by Nicholas E. Buris, President of Nebens, Deer Park, IL, jointly organized by the IEEE Ottawa AP/MTT Chapters on the following topics:

(1) "Cross Layer Design of Smart Antenna Systems"

(2) "Electromagnetic Design for Wireless Applications and Multidisciplinary Optimization"

Free admission, but is on a first to reply basis. Pizza and soft drinks will be served. Preference is given to IEEE AP/MTT society members. Seating is limited. E-mail reservation is required.

Election:

Following the presentation, an election for the Vice-Chair of IEEE Ottawa AP/MTT Joint Chapter will be held. Currently, there is one candidate. AP and MTT members are encouraged to recommend candidates and participate in the election before March 24th 2011.

Technical presentation by our very own vice chair Dr. Ali Kabiri, Post-doctoral Universite du Quebec, Ottawa, ON, jointly organized by the IEEE Ottawa AP/MTT Chapters on the "Metamaterials: Limitation Synthesis and Possibilities":

Free admission, but is on a first to reply basis. Refreshments will be served. Preference is given to IEEE AP/MTT society members. Seating is limited. E-mail reservation is required.

Parking: Free 1 hour on streets and paid parking on campus.
